With more than 10 years experience in this area of design, we have the knowledge to make the production of your publication a smooth process. byDesign now has 8 regular monthly, bi-monthly and annual publications that we manage and produce for our valued clients. They range in size from 16 to 220 pages. This is our core business and we are experts at it!

Our clients provide us with text and images which we place on the pages to their best advantage whilst maintaining the overall "look" of the magazine.

Whilst editorial is extremely important to any magazine, it's the advertisers that make it all possible! Clients provide their advertisements complete which are flight checked to make sure they'll reproduce properly. A summary report on each ad is sent to the client should alterations be required, otherwise we advise that the ad appears to be fine for press production. We know that progress reports are imperative, so we make it our business to keep you advised at all times. With the advent of email and internet, magazine production is now very streamlined. Proofs are provided of each page, author's alterations made and nothing goes to press unless it as been approved by the client. Of course it could be easy to lose track of all of these pages but byDesign prides itself on it's tried and true system which effectively keeps track of the status of everything going into the publication.

With the introduction of our new file transfer site available over the internet, supply of large files has never been easier.

When it comes to checking and handling advertisements for your publication, we can either deal directly with you or your Sales Manager, or liase directly with your clients, if you wish to streamline the process without being involved yourself. We always do so in a polite, friendly, professional manner, and we have built up a wonderful rapport with many advertising clients over the years.

For regular publications (ie. monthly, bi-monthly and quarterly publications) we have great page rates which include editorial page creation with limited author's alterations; advertisement flight check and repair where possible; pdf proofs of all pages; preparation of press ready pdfs; dummy book production for prepress ease of reference; and checking of prepress proofs. We also provide the following services at additional charge: image colour correction, advertisement design and creation, design and creation of front covers, magazine template design, and image manipulation.
